When I created this painting, I was trying to capture the feeling of family roots and thinking about the question, “Where are we from?”
The landscape is inspired by Kenmore, Perthshire.
Part of my family is originally from there, and as a family we regularly visit. After one visit, I sent a photo to my dad. His response was simply:
“It takes me back.”
