This painting is inspired by the Isle of Skye and also the sunsets that you sometimes see on the west coast of Scotland. 
 
It's acrylic on canvas and like a lot of my work, incorporates the use of light and dark. Over the last couple of years I really feel like I have grown in confidence with my paintings and within myself. This is reflected in my brushstrokes and also choice of colour.
